I am very pleased with what I can see and my French doors open easily now. The (exterior) crack is minimized and your crew did such a good job of the concrete and cleaning up, I could hardly tell they had been there. Your company is a credit to the business.

Basement Wall Cracking & Bowing

Bowing basement walls often indicate foundation problemsBasement walls below grade are especially susceptible to foundation problems. Basement walls bear not only the load of the structure above, but they also bear the weight of outside soils. When soils expand or contract with changes in the water table, the result is a change in pressure against the basement walls. Hydrostatic pressure is intensely powerful and, as soils expand, the pressure against the basement walls builds up resulting in basement cracks and bowing in basement walls.

Basement cracks usually get worse with time and are a serious indicator of foundation failure. If you notice bowing walls or cracks in your basement walls, Mount Valley Foundation Services offer free foundation repair estimates.

How We Stabilize Cracking Basement Walls

Tieback Anchors

Helical tieback anchors stabilize bowing basement wallsOur Tension Anchor system (also commonly referred to as Tie Back Anchors) utilizes helical pier technology to stabilize bowing walls. Tension Anchors are driven deep into the soil until they build up enough torque to secure the wall. Plates are attached to the anchors and final pressure adjustments are made for maximum stability.
